Google Wins Court Battle
Like they say; you don't get to the top without making a few enemies and in its time; Google has managed to make more than a few of those and it has another one to add to its belt. The search engine giant has recently found itself embroiled in a war with US technology firm Oracle over the rights of software technology which it claims Google has stolen.
We all know that mobile technology is the way forward which is why the on-going dispute came as no surprise; after all; the android technology used by Google in its smart phones has revolutionised the way the internet is used and has even boosted the world of online marketing as an increasing number of businesses come to grips with the way they reach their consumers. Oracle has argued that the search engine giant stole its smartphone technology; a claim which Google vehemently denied.
Due to the complexity of the allegations; the trial has been split into three parts and although the first part saw Google accused of infringing on a small portion of the technology owned by Oracle, this second trial now makes it clear that the search engine in fact did not infringe on Oracle's technology; a not so surprising victory…Google has the discerning ability to always stay on top.
The victory will no doubt have come as a huge relief to the search giant who is currently under major scrutiny as reports revealed that the site; so famous for helping businesses across the world reach their desired audience with SEO and PPC; may in fact be abusing its search engine for its own ill-gotten gains…add that to the claims that it may have been illegally obtaining user data and it is safe to say it's been a tough year so far!
As of now; Google still stands tall as the ultimate search engine providing users with a somewhat unique experience and businesses a chance to obtain desirable reach and something tells us this is one company who won't give up the top spot without a fight.
