Microsoft Suffers Again...
Think back to when the internet was first introduced and we all fell in love with email and the exciting new technologies that sat in front of us; Microsoft was at its peak, setting the bar of online communication so high no one could ever imagine the internet magnate being anything but top dog however things seem to have changed dramatically.
It is no doubt obvious that over the last ten years, thanks largely to the rise in mobile technology and social networking; that the internet has gained increasing importance in our everyday lives however it seems that the role Microsoft has played in that growth is not as large as the firm would have hoped.
Not dispelling that Microsoft does indeed maintain a level of online power with its classic email set up Hotmail that is still loved to this day; Google has overtaken one side of the race with its powerful search engine and browser whilst Apple has dominated the other thanks to its popular technology provided to the public in the form of iPads MacBook's and iPhones…leaving Microsoft wondering where on earth it went wrong.
Having been recently defeated by Google chrome in the browser race, Microsoft suffered another blow as it is revealed the firm is set to take a hit of nearly four billion pounds on its online advertising as the service aQuantive failed to provide the return the company required; a massive blow following the announcement that Google has upped its online advertising campaign.
What do you think? As we all turn to Google for our browsing needs and even to ensure successful online marketing and Apple to provide us with the exciting technologies; will Microsoft ever return to its former glory?
