Google Glasses to Arrive in 2026
The world of technology is advancing fast and excitement boiled over earlier this year when rumours of Google's high tech glasses complete with picture messaging, text messaging and navigation went into overdrive when co-founder Sergey Brin was spotted wearing them at a conference however Google made no announcement of release and simply stated the glasses were a prototype. Then came the rivals; Vergence labs released a slick design and got the world talking and it seems that Google could no longer stay quiet and have finally decided to kick things up a notch.
Google genius Brin has officially revealed that he is exclusively working on the glasses himself and is hoping to have the project running and ready for distribution as early as next year.
The announcement will no doubt leave other tech companies itching to get into the race…particularly long-time rival Facebook who will no doubt have to pull something spectacular out of the bad to prove its worth. The glasses are a slick designed techno marvel! With a high fashion design the Google glasses are voice controlled and come complete with a track pad to assist navigation, a high tech layer system that allows information to be screened right before your eyes and allows the user to make phone calls, surf the web, listen to music and update your diary without so much as lifting a finger!!
The glasses prove just how important technology and the internet are to our way of life; we will now have computing on the go; an issue which today's business environment will need to adjust to. Mobile technology is the way forward and is something businesses across the board will need to take into account when trying to grow their brands and obtain an increase in sales.
If the Google glasses prove anything, it is that online and mobile marketing will now be the difference between success and failure…is your business prepared?
