Emails; since the dawn of the internet age they have played a crucial part in our everyday lives and the way we use the World Wide Web and despite the major advancements in technology; they are still a popular form of communication. Emails are used daily in our personal lives and are also central to businesses across the country as colleagues communicate daily and businesses promote themselves by incorporating email marketing into their online marketing strategies; the email is legendary!

Google's Gmail is fast becoming the most liked emailing system in the world; a stylishly designed, fast working and secure email system that has taken the world by storm however it seems that Microsoft has had enough of Google's domination and wishes to action and make Hotmail popular once more.

The internet giant has re-launched a new version of its classic Hotmail system that it claims provides a fluid and interactive design built to work like a dream on all devices. Although Hotmail has statistically maintained the most audience which, many state was as a result of mailers too lazy to switch over; Gmail is fast catching up…Microsoft has indicated with its new design that it new it had to do something and do it fast.

Critics will no doubt look at the design and immediately come to the same conclusion; "that looks familiar" and why? Well to put it simply, Microsoft haven't exactly come up with a exciting new concept but rather copied GMail and it's free flowing design…probably not the best way to say "we're still better".

GMail, Hotmail or even Yahoo; the power of email, whatever the design, has never and will never change.
