Modern technology; wherever we look it has taken over the world. First it was the internet and its exciting email feature and then came instant chats which soon led to developments in smart phones and tablet PC's that allow us to access anything and everything in an instant…sounds perfect doesn't it? Well according to a study conducted at the University of San Diego; the vast improvements in modern technology and the increasing prominence they now have in our everyday lives has created a society of impatient people in which a good old fashioned wait has gone straight out of the window and been replaced with instant decisions.

The study revealed that our ability to take time in our decisions is what separates us from animals and allows children to develop such vital life skills however the immense technology that is so available in abundance is now dictating our lives far more than we ever imagined.

Thanks to the internet and the ease of access allowed by mobile technology; we can do just about anything in the blink of an eye; contact family, friends, make business deals, purchase gifts and even do the weekly food shopping and we have now become hooked to the speed and instantaneous results the internet now offers. Perhaps this explains why businesses across the world are now taking the time to invest in online marketing; we want results and we will achieve them as fast as can be allowed; thus making it crucial that a business now ensures an online presence.

Gone are the days of thought out decisions and long term interest; we want things and we want them fast and thankfully the internet will be around for a long time to ease our urges.
