AdWords Adds Billing Tab

For those who use Google's AdWords as part of their SEO web design, there has been some welcome news. They have added a new feature - the Billing tab. This is a UK-only addition, designed to give the user more control on when they pay, how much they pay and a host of other features designed to make for easier use of the tool.

With some guidance from Inside AdWords  the following is a breakdown of some of the key features of the new function:

* Payments can be made directly from the billing summary page using the "make a payment" button.
* Users can switch between automatic payments and manual ones.
* Users can designate more than one form of payment and switch between payment methods any time you want.
* It is now possible to have a distinct billing address from your business address.
* Help content has been improved and this useful feature can be accessed through the new Help Centre.
In addition to the new features, there have also been a few changes in terminology:
* What was "postpay" is now "automatic payments." Using this, you will be automatically charged after your adverts reach their billing threshold or after 30 days.
* "Prepay" is now designated "manual payments." You can make manual payments into your account and money is drawn from it to cover advert costs. You can use manual payments to delay automatic charges.
* The "direct debit" function is now labelled "bank account."
* "Bank transfer" is now known as "funds transfer."

If you already have AdWords, no action is required unless you decide to change your billing method and/or form of payment.
