In the world of online marketing; content is the most crucial piece of the puzzle. For SEO, PPC, social media and anything in between; it is your content that will get you noticed, not only by Google but by your audience too.
For many businesses, producing ideal, interesting content is a walk in the park; who doesn't want to read about the latest food craze, diet tips, the new clothing trends, sporting secrets and so on but what about those businesses that aren't overtly pleasing to the consumer? For legal firms, financial firms and anything considered 'boring' by the mass public; planning interesting and engaging content can be riddled with immense difficulty.
Trying to establish the ideal content strategy can be difficult for many businesses but by following our top tips; you can soon find yourself working wonders.
- Know it all- Do you know anything and everything about your industry? An in-depth knowledge of your industry will allow you to really understand your customers, your market, and your competition and hence will enable you to determine just what content you need to produce to stay competitive.
- Have you identified your target audience? By having a good understanding of your different audiences i.e. the new buyer, the expert, the one in between you will determine the levels of depth your content will require and just how your business can successfully 'talk' to the audience.
- Have you set out your project goals? Many businesses get lost in their long term aims but by determining your overall goals and the goals of your content e.g. to sell a service, you can identify the tone your content you will need to take in order to gain success.
Whatever your industry; with research, understanding and a well thought out plan the content you produce for your online marketing can have great success…nothing is impossible no matter how 'boring' you think you may be.
