Google To Face Two New Lawsuits?
Differing opinions aside, Google is pretty much defined as the ruler of the internet and rightfully so. With its unique and highly secretive algorithm; the search engine is able to provide users with the best user experience; ensuring the internet remains spam free and every search query offers the best results possible.
As was once stated; with great power comes great responsibility and hence why the search engine has taken to regularly updating its algorithm; ensuring that the millions of business undertaking online marketing strategies do not attempt to play it clever and spam the bejeezus out the web.
However, it seems as though the power may have gone directly to the search engines head as reports indicate that Google may be on its way to facing two new law suits thanks to regulators in France and the USA. The cases are set to focus on the continuing uncertainty surrounding user data, asking how and why the search engine has been collating such private information.
An investigation conducted by the CNIL, one of the world's most aggressive data protection authorities, is already underway following earlier claims and results will soon be revealed however, with two new potential cases; Google may soon find itself facing a great deal more strife.
The firm has been in negotiations, for many months, with regulators regarding its highly unethical actions however as of yet; the battle surrounding privacy and user protection is still very much underway.
