The New Twitter Tool...

For many years, Twitter has long since been viewed as a great online marketing tool; helping businesses talk directly to customers, reaching their audience and growing their brand in an instant. Tweets are a great tool that provide short and sweet marketing messages that, if done right, can create a level of engagement that can work wonders for your online presence and judging by the latest announcement, the power of the Tweet is growing.

The beauty of the Tweet has constantly been talked off but there also lies a negativity in such instant communication; that businesses will never always be able to target their entire audience, why? well simply because of the fact that not everyone is on line at the same time and thanks to twitter's rolling feed; your tweet won't stay in feeds for very long meaning that your message could miss having that impact your business so desires.

It seems that the brains behind Twitter may have finally grasped the importance of Tweets and the want and need for users, be they businesses or otherwise; to ensure that their messages do not simply disappear into oblivion. CEO of the firm Dick Costolo has announced that the company will be building a tool that will allow users to access their entire tweet history and although this does not solve the problem and, many argue it just shows how dated Twitter is, it does potentially show that the new tool is helping the social media site head in the right direction.

Whether Twitter will be able to become as powerful, influential and impactful as other social platforms are to an online marketing strategy is something we will just have to wait and see...
