As cheesy as it sounds, with great power really does come great responsibility and whether you are a superhero, a family man or an internet giant; this particular saying should very much have a strong standing. Take Google for instance; from the moment it was introduced to the world it has revolutionised our way of life and today it is without a doubt the greatest technological company in the world and rightfully so. After all we use Google several times a day making it pivotal to online marketing, amongst others and as a result, is now central to our use of the internet which is why, as the firm continues to grow with its extended services including GMail and Google Maps; it has a dire resposability to protect our but does it?

We all have no reason not to trust Google; however as reports have continued to roll out, it seems as though even the best operate with over the past few years, the search engine giant, which has helped millions connect across the globe and has taken businesses to new heights with its SEO and PPC advertising, admitted that the Google Street View Cars had stolen an unprecedented amount of personal data from millions of homes across the UK. When taken to court the internet magnate immediately argued that they had no intention of stealing such data however it soon came to light that the brains behind the firm were they knew exactly what they were doing.

Having admitted fault and wrongdoing the firm apologised for such misconduct and only a few months later, agreed to delete all gathered information but it looks like they've been telling porkies again. The Information Commissioners Office has announced that Google has admitted to still having, in it's possession, a proportion of the data that had been gathered by its cars. The firm has apologised for the error and this time promised to delete everything however the ICO is no refusing to simply take Google's word for it and has ordered data to be handed over for investigation.

Oh will Google ever learn?
